Broadband

Survey carried out and shared with our local MSP Jenni Minto. Fibre now being installed along south Loch Awe-side, Stronmilchan and through Dalmally. Meeting planned with the Scottish Government R100 team to discuss how we make best use of the new service and work to include those who are still not covered.

 

Traffic Calming

Round table meeting held with Traffic Scotland, Argyll and Bute Council, to discuss traffic calming and roads maintenance across Glenorchy and Innishail. Traffic Scotland have carried out surveys and we await further news. Local measures such as planters at the roadside at the entrance to the different settlements are being pursued by the working group.

 

Affordable Housing

 

Funding secured from the Rural and Islands Ideas into Action Fund to commission Communities Housing Trust to carry out a Housing Needs Assessment for Glenorchy and Innishail. This is now available, and the Community Action Group is looking at how we take the recommendations forward.

Paths and Trails

 

Work has started to identify key paths and trails across Glenorchy and Innishail. Groups will be out to look at these in more detail over the spring to look at what is needed to bring them into use and have them written up for locals and visitors alike.
